The Butterfly Project:
The Rules are:1. When you feel like you want to cut, take a marker, pen, or sharpies and draw a butterfly on your arm or hand. 2. Name the butterfly after a loved one, or someone that really wants you to get better.3. You must let the butterfly fade naturally. NO scrubbing it off.4. If you cut before the butterfly is gone, you’ve killed it. If you dont cut, it lives.5. If you have more than one butterfly, cutting kills all of them.6. Another person may draw them on you. These butterflies are extra special. Take good care of them.7. Even if you don’t cut, feel free to draw a butterfly anyways, to show your support. If you do this, name it after someone you know that cuts or is suffering right now, and tell them. It could help.
I see so many of my followers posting pictures of huge gashes they have cut into their arms. So many of them posting how they only find solice in the comfort of a blade against their skin. So many of them wishing their pain would just go away. So many giving in to the addiction. It breaks my heart. Everytime I see one of you posting or reblogging a picture of cuts it makes me tear up, and sometimes when the picture is really bad I cry. I don’t want any of my followers to think they need to resort to cutting, none of you should feel like no one cares. I care about every single one of you. So I drew this butterfly. I named her Oopsy. (odd I know, but it means something special to me) This butterfly is for ALL OF YOU. Please, help Keep Oopsy alive. If you feel like you are going to cut, PLEASE send me an ask, anon or not, I will help you through it. No matter what time of day it is or how long it takes. I promise to be there. Help keep Oopsy alive.
